2010: Also year of the white tiger

In Chinese Astrology, 2010 is really called the Year of the Tiger but it would be hard to find a more fitting human drama unraveling throughout the year than the Tiger Spirit of Tiger Woods.

2010: Also year of the white tiger

Another name for 2010 is the year of the white tiger. If the weather is a sign of the things to come, then a bitter, cold, winter storm is a fitting welcome to the new lunar year: a peaceful sense of quiet, calm, beauty, combined with a sense of helplessness and bitterness.

Below is a very good description of a White, Metal, Tiger Year. It is a year in which, in the words of a Frenchman, "The west will demonstrate that it is a place that has gone from barbarism to decline without the intervening step of democratic capitalism."

'Capitalism' is a term of art. There's no precise definition, though there are some basic requirements. A capitalist system must permit private property, must tolerate relatively free markets and must endorse the social value of economic risk taking -- meaning that people who take greater risks or who work harder can earn greater rewards. Up to a point, inequality is accepted as a necessary and desirable incentive for talent, effort, and innovation.

I hate to say it, but that doesn't sound like any Western economy I know.

Greece has been called the 'cradle' of western civilization, the model upon which all western countries are based. As Tiger Woods is a human avatar of Tiger spirit in 2010, Greece is a comparable avatar of western civilization in a Metal Tiger year.

Here's a youtube clip titled, 'Athens The Uknown Soldiers'. It shows what Greece and the western world typically look like in a Metal Tiger Year.

Not sure if Kyrgyztan qualifies as part of the western world but it's close enough to it that its backward deployed, taxpaying support soldiers are dramatically influenced as this youtube clips shows. The youtube clip is titled, "Anti-govt riots in Kyrgyzstan, April 07, 2010"

Mr Celente said there is a solution to prevent the breakup of America into various blocks as it's forerunner, the USSR, suffered. He called it the '20% solution', 'get involved'. It sounds like Mr. Celente is advocating the practice of democracy. Democracy in its most fundamental description is merely a system for the resolution of conflict without violence, suffering, destruction and breakup of regions on a map. What Mr. Celente didn't have time to include in his discussion was that the practice of democracy in many regions of the map is more dangerous, self defeating, self-injurious to one's person, paper and property, one's family, one's macro/micro-economy than the lack thereof of democracy. While China does not have democracy it does have a healthy macro/micro-economy with a very visible lack of democracy.

In those regions of the map where 'it is self-evident' that the practice of democracy is a guaranteed path to conflict, suffering and destruction, the eternal optimism of the human spirit will persevere in fighting for a better way of life.

As Mr. Celente pointed out, the human battle for existence is not new in the course of human history. What is new in this historic period of conflict is that the financing of the participants has been turned upside down. In previous episodes, the majority was financed by internal taxation and the minority was funded by external special interests.

In the new normal, the majority forces are funded by external special interests. Currently, the minority is unfunded and as would be expected, is losing. The minority seems to be increasingly aware of its losing posture and appears to be ready to apply historic remedies.

To be 'fair and balanced' Mr. Celente has another view about the direction of America titled:
'Too big to fail is killing the middle class'

Is the above interview Mr. Celente claims that America is a Facist state while in a previous one he claimed that America was becoming the same as the USSR which was a totalitarian socialist state. Pedantic students of political science would likely feverishly argue that the two states are different.

It was not too long ago that the consensus word to describe America was 'systemic failure'. Perhaps what Mr. Celente is describing is best summed up by resurrecting the phrase 'systemic failure' rather than facism or communism. If given the more widespead scope that Mr. Celente is describing rather than being limited to Goldman Sach's CDO's, then the phrase would seem to be more appropriate and contemporary.

...some scholars claim that a typical characteristic of systemic failure is a lack of adequate news reporting beyond the parking lot of where the news occurs.
