Reader Ethics

All Readers who assist in Readings at the Madam Mysterious Reading site agree to abide by this code of ethics. Readers that do not may be blocked from providing readings at the site.

• Obey all applicable laws, regulations and rules.

• Promote Peace, Prosperity, Health and Happiness.
  • Prior to a reading, to schedule and organize a reading.
  • During a reading, to promote balance and growth.
  • After a reading, in follow-up communications.
  • Outside of the site but in communications about Madam Mysterious.
  • Help individuals along on a personal path of growth.
  • Help your community along a path of growth.
• Don't Scare People before, during or after a reading.
  • Don't use spiritual knowledge to get power over others through fear.
  • Spiritual experiences are part of the "unknown" and "unseen" and so are by nature scary to most people.
  • Be a calm and calming presence.
  • Answer questions promptly and in a calming manner.
  • Don't scare people by leaving something unsaid. If you feel that others are afraid, then say something to make them unafraid.
• Be Informative and Reassuring.
  • A SpiritCard reading can be stopped at anytime by anyone who feels they need to do so for any reason.
  • A SpiritCard reading can be exited at anytime by anyone who feels they need to do so for any reason.
  • Only the Reader tries to make contact with the spirits.
  • Only the Reader may be in contact with the spirits.
  • The Seeker and Watchers will never be posessed or controled by the SpiritCards.
  • The Reader will be a protective influence during a SpiritCard reading.
• Voice your SpiritCard interpretations in a positive way.
  • Voice the actual meaning of the card but:
  • Voice the meaning in a way that provides hope.
  • Voice the meaning in a way that provides a path to personal growth.
  • Voice the meaning in a way that promotes peace, prosperity, health and happiness.
• Let the SpiritCards deal with the Seeker's question.
  • Accept the question as very important to the Seeker.
  • Do not personally deal with the question: Do not judge it. Do not laugh at it. Do not criticise it in any way.
  • Do not 'professionally' deal with the question:  advise all that you are not giving psychological, psychiatric, legal, medical or any other professional, worldly advise.
• A SpiritCard answer is spiritual and not professional worldly advise.
  • The SpiritCard answer to the Seeker's question is not psychological, psychiatric, legal, medical, investment or any other professional, worldly advise.
  • For those seeking professional advise, please request that they look elsewhere.
  • For those claiming to be in potential suicide or immediate crisis tell them that they must seek immediate professional help.
• Do not interfere with anyone's religion.
  • DO NOT conduct religious discussions at the reading site but encourage all to embrace their respective religion in a positive way to promote peace, prosperity, health and happiness.
  • Please refer religious questions to an appropriate religious authority.
• Do not interfere with anyone's core beliefs.
